The Gloucester Family History Fair will again take place at the Crypt school in Gloucester on the 17th April, so why not have a day out in Gloucester and take in the event. These fairs are always very enjoyable. If you are a member who lives locally why not come and give a hand on the stall?
Our next visit is to The National Archive at Kew on the 20th April. Further details can be found on the visits page.
Trace your Tree on the Internet Course takes place on the 8th and the 15th May. Further details can be found on the Family History Courses page.
Four of our members recently spend three days at the 'Who do you think you are' fair at Olympia. It was the best attended fair so far and was a very enjoyable event. Some of us assisted by taking spells on the FFHS stall and Tony Luffman our Projects co-ordinator gave a presentation in one of the many workshops on our Baptism Project. The photo shows our Chairman Gordon Taylor showing two visitors to the FFHS stand the latest version of the National Burials Index (NBI) disc. We were surprised how many people did not know of the existence of the many family history societies across the country.
