With the support of the Worcestershire Records Office we are currently transcribing the baptism records for the whole of Worcestershire. This is being split into 3 phases.

Phase 1 covers entries from 1813 – 1839.
Phase 2 will cover entries from 1754 - 1812.
Phase 3 will cover all entries prior to 1754.

We have now completed Phase 1 of the baptism project with the 196 parishes available to the public on the S&N Genealogy Supplies web site www.fhs-online.co.uk
We are now adding  Birmingham parishes which at the time were part of Worcestershire.
Phase 1, Halesowen is now complete and is on the web site. The Phase 1 portion of the parish of Dudley (a very large parish) is now more than half complete and online. We hope to complete this parish by September.

This is a subscription site and after registration you can currently search the baptisms for a charge of £14.95. These records are available to our members free using a voucher system and are also available on line free to researchers visiting the Worcestershire Library and Family History Centre in Worcester. As and when the phase 2 and phase 3 parishes are completed they will be added to the database.

Phase 2 (1754-1812) started in September 2009. We currently have 32 volunteers working on the project, but would like more. If you feel that you can help please contact Tony Luffman.

The work comprises :
1. Photographing/ photocopying the register pages.
2. Transcribing register entries into a formatted spreadsheet.
3. Auditing the transcriptions.
4. Uploading the transcriptions to the website

37 Phase 2 parishes are now completed, and are on the web site.
In addition to our baptism transcriptions S&N are now transcribing the marriage and burial records from our register photographs. These records sit alongside the baptism records of a parish on the website.

S&N also have another subscription web site containing these records and many others.
